It is a bit early for persimmon season, but can you really get too excited over these little beauties? Besides being tasty, I think that persimmons just have fantastic shapes and colors. In the spirit of 'random objects in random places', it seems like a fun idea to relocate persimmons from plate to couch (sans the staining and subsequent gnashing of teeth).
I'm thinking....PILLOWS.
So this is stage one. It is the beginning of a 'Hachiya' pillow. It is yet another variation of the permutation-on-a-sausage construction. It is just one odd shaped cylinder. I think the final dimensions will be about 15"x15"x24" when it is all done.
I am putting in a pocket for remote control storage. And I just like the idea of pockets. Pockets for everyone!! I also think that he will need a friend. Maybe a shorter, fatter 'Jiro' to keep him company?
