I made this turtle, promptly named 'Watch Turtle', as a present this past holiday season. It has been explained to me that he earned the moniker from his habit of staring out, unfazed, defending hearth and home.
So he was given a pillow for more comfortable seating and a hat, to make him more 'official'. The take away message is that I could have amounted to something, but no one ever gave me a hat.
