Greetings!

Well, let's get started.  I keep on thinking about metaphors for art, artists, and the artistic process.  My working definition seems to morph with with my bank account, but I think that I can settle on the idea of renovating an old house.  It existed before you came upon it, you can change it as you like, there is technical know how and inspiration that will go into your fixes, and if you do a proper job, the house will stand and bear your mark for years to come.  Perhaps this kinship with a house makes art and the home so inseparable.  My hope is that this connection is shared by many.  Constructing our lives, homes, and artistic practices are experiences best shared.

So I would like to offer my own experiments in art and technical instruction in the finer points of craft.  And just maybe we can build our homes along the way.
