I opened it up and it is still really hot. So I put this bundle-o-inferno on a concrete slab to cool. Maybe this evening I will be able to handle it. I am thinking that I might add some gold leaf decoration to it. Perhaps something kind of organic and abstract.
I did thwack it a few times with my fingernail, and I am shocked to say that it is FIRED. It almost rings like a nicely heated piece of bisque ware. I didn't think that things were going to get that hot. So it is nice to know that you can hit a low to mid-low range cone fire at home. And I got to burn up my junk mail. Everyone wins!
